These croutons aren’t fancy, but they’re freaking delicious and a little bit old-school. More often than not, I have to police Marcus once they make it out of the oven because otherwise, they stand zero chance of making it into our salad.
Ingredients
- 1/3 baguette, sliced and cubed
- 1-2 T olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Oregano
- Onion powder
- Garlic salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Drizzle olive oil over cubed bread (or at this point I usually have the bread on a baking sheet), toss to coat
- Incorporate salt and pepper, oregano, onion powder and garlic salt to taste
- Ensure croutons are evenly distributed across baking sheet, place in oven, bake for approximately 15 minutes, shaking once. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until desired crispness is achieved
