Some Things

Hello my friends.

This is a snap from this morning’s park adventure. Usually we try to make it down to Wayzata Beach at least once per weekend but since we were there on Saturday morning, today I introduced Marcus and the kids to the park at Parkers Lake. Our life is so wild right now.

Am I the only one who feels like July is simultaneously starting and ending all at once? June seemed to take its time but here I am making plans to see friends and every single message at this point involves some variation of July is so busy what if we just do August?

I can see how as the children get bigger it would bee very easy to let our summer spiral completely out of control.

The Tour de France started on Saturday so I have been enjoying nightly replays while I read. My reading ebbs and flows – sometimes I read a lot, sometimes I don’t read enough. What I know to be true is that I am a much more pleasant person to be around when I am reading books. I also know that when I am on a non-fiction kick like I am right now, I really enjoy learning new things for no other reason than to know them.

We are now a week and a half into Glitter sleeping through the night and my friends. I simultaneously cannot sleep enough and have SO MUCH MORE ENERGY. And I feel like I should be using it productively but also I don’t know on what and frankly after three straight years of being pregnant or feeding babies I think it is okay to have no clue for the time being.

I have some indoors projects that I do really need to start working on in the interim. Doing the rest of my SHRM-SCP recertification credits. Re-sizing all of the photos on my blog from July 2017 to present (if anyone knows an easy way to do this, please fill me in). Ordering photos for our photo album. Purging things from the basement storage room (I just removed another grocery bag of clothes from my closet). Organizing the kids’ closets. So there is stuff to keep me occupied.
