I spoke too soon about the nausea. I felt much better and then I took a dive again. Part of the week, I could eat. The other part, I could not. But here is a lot of pretty food that graced the table. We continue to be so blessed that we don’t have to cook constantly. Honestly.
Friday – Balsamic-Ginger Salmon with Veggie Fried Rice, Asparagus, Challah
This meal was actually prepared by my mother-in-law as Shabbat was at their house! This is Marcus’ plate. Friday kicked off my weekend of profound nausea and all I could stomach (albeit painfully) was rice and bread.
Monday – Olive Chicken with Baked Potatoes and Salad
Obviously, I forgot to take a picture, so Marcus took one of his leftovers for me instead. You’ll just have to imagine the salad.
Tuesday – Spaghetti with Meatballs, Salad, Garlic Bread
Apparently this is a thing we eat now. I will also confess an unabashed love of powder parmesan cheese.
Wednesday – Steak, Roasted Potatoes, Arugula-Pasta Salad
Things that are true: I ate an entire pound of steak at dinner before I knew I had done it and it was the best thing I ate all week. Apparently I needed that. The salad is my mother’s latest variation on Chrissy Teigen’s Cauliflower-Orzo salad.
Thursday – Ribs, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Baked Beans
It took us nearly a month to get ribs on the table but we did and it was perfection! I made the coleslaw.
