What I’ve Been Reading

bookTrue story: this is probably two months of reading because surprise surprise I just have not had the time. I am hoping to pick it up a bit more in the months before Little Critter arrives but who knows. Β I probably need to go through my library reserve list to make some updates. If you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

  1. I’ve been on the waiting list for Hillbilly Elegy forever!

I’ve got a post coming out Friday about some good ones I’ve been reading lately.

But if you haven’t read A Man Called Ove yet, I’d recommend! My fave book that I “read” last year (it was an audiobook) was Kitchens of the Great Midwest. I couldn’t put down Behind Closed Doors and it wasn’t a book I think would normally be my jam. πŸ™‚ Enjoy!

  2. Always enjoy seeing what you read. A great mix of learning and pleasure. Go you. Totally second Carrie’s rec on A Man Called Ove. I devoured it while sick in a top bunk of a hostel in Mumbai πŸ˜‰ For a silly, chic, fast, non-romance based read: The Assistance.

  3. I’d suggest “The Death of Expertise (The Campaign against Established Knowledge and why it Matters)” by Tom Nichols. It is excellent and fitting for the current state of affairs. It is excellent.
