A cool thing happened, y’all.
Megan wrote a cookbook.
When we met on the internet…God, six years ago (?) we were just blogging babies. In March of 2011 she sent me a jam she made like some sort of internet olive branch. And now she is one of my closest friends and she WROTE A COOKBOOK. It’s going to be published this spring and it will be called Cast Iron Cooking. I can’t wait to put it on my shelf.
The reason I am doing all of this rambling on and on about this is because I get to fulfill a foodie dream of mine and recipe test. FOR THE CAST IRON COOKING COOKBOOK. It has been so fun to help my girl even the teensiest bit as she achieves one of her life’s dreams.

So this was NOT from the cookbook. I’ve decided that since I really don’t have the time to do a full day of holiday baking this year, each week I’ll do my best to make a treat that I can enjoy (and also share with a friend)!
