Friday Food Round-Up!

I feel like we are officially into full-on summer cooking.  Which means lots of eating outside, lots of grilling, and lots of meat and sides meals.

Sunday – Grilled Spicy Italian Sausages from Trader Joe’s, Dijon Potatoes, Coleslaw

I really just wanted to make something that was easy because I was still unwinding from having friends in town over the weekend.  What I really aspire to do someday is get back into the groove of making this coleslaw, but we’re just not there yet.

Monday – Cold Curry Peanut Noodles from Great, Easy, Meals, Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Breasts, Roasted Broccoli

I think maybe we made these noodles once.  It wasn’t that memorable.  This time they were bright, and spicy, and still probably not the way the recipe meant for them to be.  But we would make them again.

To marinate the chicken, I really just threw a few chicken breasts into teriyaki sauce and let them thaw overnight.  Scene.

Tuesday – Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken, Favorite Three Bean Salad, Potato Salad

This week, Michelle and Whitney both joined me for dinner.  Whitney brought cupcakes, and Michelle made potato salad.  Putting meat and sauce into the crockpot isn’t full-on cooking, so I made a three bean salad to round out the meal!

Thursday – Lawn Chicken Salad from Farmhouse Rules

This wasn’t even on our meal plan for the week (originally I had plans for Thursday!) but we had all of the things in the fridge and I knew this would be a nice, fresh, meal to action before we headed out of town!
