Shout-out to the friends who brought soup and salad galore. And Special K bars. And cornbread cheddar waffles. I still can’t get into the zone where planning to eat green things on purpose sounds good so having other people force them on me has been helpful. And obviously Marcus has appreciated it because he does want to be eating the veggies.
Once again, we cooked some stuff.
Friday – Grilled Cheese with Pasta e Fagioli Soup
We made the grilled cheese, we did NOT make the soup. But Anna did and YOU GUYS IT IS SO GOOD. Like a must eat! I asked her for the recipe and then after she sent it, I found it on the internet so that we can share this blessing with everyone. This is not the first recipe Anna has shared with me that has been So Delicious so I am pretty sure I need to ask her to update me on the regular about what she is making that is good so that we can make it too.
Sunday – Roasted Garlic Chicken Sausages from Trader Joe’s with Tater Tots and Roasted Broccoli
Chicken sausages were on our list of easy things to make, and we had not yet made them. Voila. I also want to give a shout-out to my husband, who prepared this entire meal while Critter and I were otherwise occupied.
This is a meal that very nearly didn’t happen, as Tuesday was a total debacle. But we pressed through (possibly foolishly) and cooked it anyway. I mean, the big pro to this meal is that once the chicken and potatoes are prepped, you put them into the oven and that is the end of it.
