The New Year is here! This is the 248th Friday Food Round-Up! in the history of the blog! Who needs resolutions when you can simply remember the food you ate this week? Honestly, my biggest cooking plans for the week are taking place today because I wanted to celebrate the new year with some 11/10 feasting. But you’ll have to wait to see what we’re making until next week.
Since I was conducting a census of our china, I told Marcus we may as well eat off of it. That lead us to sort out some silver as well.
I totally scorched the chicken skin, so I peeled that right off, but the roasted cauliflower turned out beautifully. The barley salad was a totally new dish and Marcus and I agreed we would make it again. Will I actually remember to make it again? That is a totally different question.
Monday – Breakfast Tacos from The Homesick Texan
A few weeks ago, I made a huge batch of breakfast sausage. And then I discovered that we had a packet of breakfast sausage in the freezer that was a holdover from the last time I whipped it up. Obviously we had to make breakfast tacos.
