I honestly only took one set of photos while we were up at the cabin over the weekend and they were all of this thunderhead moving in over the lake. No sooner had I gone out to the dock to watch the sun set, then I realized that a storm was going to foil those plans.
I have had such a nice summer Up North. It was good to fish and eat and read books and sleep and run. We got to sit in the grass over Memorial Day weekend and watch the dragonflies hatch in the grass around us, dry their wings, and take their first flight!
It was good to spend as much time as I did with my family before Critter joins us Up North next year. It isn’t that I’m not excited for that, but in January 2016, everything will always be different.
Between holidays and travel and more holidays, the rest of 2015 is going to be a veritable race to New Year’s Eve. There is nothing to be done about this and I want to be in a place where we can enjoy each of those things, without a second thought.
It was good to have a summer of quiet and relaxation.
