Friday Food Round-Up!

I’m writing this on my phone because the motivation I have to pull up my computer is so low. I have no idea where the time went this week but apparently it is Friday already so I’m just going to go with that.

Sunday –  Channa Masala with Roasted Broccoli, Rice and Trader Joe’s Garlic Naan

I pre-race feasted with Chicken Tikka Masala so I honestly wasn’t in the biggest mood for Indian. But, I was super-chilled post-race so the spices really did warm the soul.

I actually doubled this meal and brought a batch (frozen) to a new momma I know who loves Indian food. Just heat, and serve!

Monday- Roasted Chicken with 4-3-2-1 Spice RubKnock-Off “Chicken Bucket” Coleslaw and Oven Fries

Things that are great: Cub had an amazing sale on chicken thighs two weeks ago that Marcus and I weren’t able to make it to. Mom and Dad stopped by the store and grabbed rainchecks because they had already sold out. 14 pounds of chicken at $0.88/lb later, our freezer is full again.

Jeanne’s cole slaw was absolutely the right side for this meal. It’s the right side for every meal.

Tuesday – Chicken Sausages with Kale Slaw from Dinner: The Playbook and Baked Beans

Trader Joe’s Roasted Garlic Chicken Sausages are always in our freezer. We love them.

And kale is terrible. The end. I will never force our future children to eat this devil food.

  1. Please do not force a child to eat anything, but the alternative is always the same – a peanut butter sandwich. I never made special meals and of course you can avoid the few requests like baked kale…
