You Guys. I have been so touched by all of the thoughtful calls/texts/e-mails/tweets/comments I have received in the last 24 hours. Being sad by yourself sucks, and even though some of you are thousands of miles away, I absolutely do not feel Alone. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such love and I can only hope to pay it forward.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that we are at the cabin. We had planned this week together a long time ago, and honestly, it’s the best place to be right now.
While mother informs me that the Cross Lake community center sells day passes, since we are Away From Home, that means that my running schedule is weather-dependent. As it is meant to rain for the next day or so, I swapped this rest day with the run scheduled for Tuesday. I know that with the Hansons’ Marathon Method, you’re supposed to avoid swapping days, but since I did a slow run on the treadmill on Sunday morning, I felt like that would be enough…rest for now.
Since Billy is home for the week as well, he joined me for my run this morning and that was really nice. We drove into town, hit the trail and enjoyed the breeze.
I’ve packed my yoga mat so that I can log some quality time stretching/toning this week. When it’s sunny, it’s really nice to be able to do my daily session out on the dock. When it’s rainy, I just do my yoga in the basement instead. Not quite as glamorous, but it still accomplishes the end goal.
Next week, I move from five runs per week to six runs per week, so this week I will enjoy the rest.
