Books Reading in the Future

Do you want to know what is amazing?  I read three of these books on my Kindle.  Living in the future is always so great.  Living in the future is also alarmingly easy.

The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett

Pillars of the Earth

Much in the same way that World Without End took a week off of my life, The Pillars of the Earth sucked away a weekend in which I had no idea where the hours were disappearing to, until all the sudden the lightbulb went on and I was like, duh Kat, you are reading one of those books.  Apparently there is to be one more Kingsbridge book, so whenever that comes out, I’ll just plan to block off a day and go for it, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-style.

  1. I’ve read The Pillars of the Earth and I wasn’t impressed. I know that time in history was awful for most but I was so turned off by the violence and brutality toward women, I couldn’t stand it. I would get knots in my stomach just reading it. Yikes. You may like it though, everyone is different ya, know? I have a degree in Political Science and almost went to Law School, I know I would appreciate that book by Huffington. Because it’s exactly what’s happening. There are many who predict many parts of this country will be “third world” in a very short amount of time. On a side note, I have noticed in the last three months that I am seeing more and more product in the stores made in America. Maybe trivial, but nonetheless, encouraging. Take care, my sweet friend,
