Checked Out (or really returned at this point)

Based on the amount of free time I seem not to have lately, this may be the last book report for a while (I know – I do have a few things at home right now, but I don’t even know what to put on the holds list next).  That being said, I think there’s something on the order of 2000 pages of reading here, which is nothing to sneeze at.

World Without End by Ken Follett

World Without End

I know that I don’t usually discuss The Books, but World Without End is one of the best books that I have read in my life.  It’s 1000 pages and I took it down over the course of a week.  If you at all like historical fiction or the middle ages or authors who are amoral in the treatment of their characters, you would be on board with this.

  1. I loved Pillars of the Earth! So I’m sure I’ll love this one by Ken Follett. Thanks for the suggestion.

  2. Yes, totally agree on World Without End. Did you read Pillars then too? I need to get into some of his other stuff but being an architect really made those two interesting to me!

  3. If you haven’t read it, Pillars of the Earth was a prequel to this one. Thought Pillars of the Earth was better than this one, but both were really good.

  4. I need to read this one. I loved Pillars of the Earth. Ken Follett is such a wonderful writer. How were the other three books?

  5. How did you like The Signature of All Things? Having read Eat, Pray, Love 4 times I’ve been debating whether I should read this one.
