The Finish Line

The Finish Line that I know looks like this.

04 Finish Line 05 Finish Line 5k-3 Ann and I Firefighter_5k Half-Marathon Me Marathon 27 Post Race TCM 12 2 TCM 12

The finish line that I know is filled with the faces of my family.  My friends.   The people who lift me up when I am down, the people who celebrate with me when I have finally reached the mountain’s high peak.

The people who love me unconditionally.

The finish line I know is filled with my best humans.

Tonight my heart is just shattered for my fellow runners at the Boston Marathon and their best humans who were waiting there, for them, through the last .2.
