Birchbox: March 2013

So.  The March Birchbox.

I’ve been getting these things for a year now.  From time to time, what they send is a total miss, but it really is nice to get the odd-surprise.

And we all know that left to my own devices, I would probably never leave the drugstore aisles, so I have gotten to try things that I would never otherwise find.

Box 1

I know.  I know, when you think March Madness, you think of beauty samples too, right?

Personally I loathe and despise when we take sports things, spray paint them pink and make them completely unrecognizable.

But, what’s done is done.  March Madness it is.

Box 2

In the box: MAKE Eye Shadow, MAKE Face Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30, Oscar Blandi Hair Lift Mousse, Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream.

Apparently they were meant to include a Madewell for Birchbox Emery Board but that was nowhere to be found.  Instead, it appears that I got a concealer sample.

I can work with that.

I don’t actually keep a stick of concealer, and pretty much patch-together sample coverage when I need it.  Someday future me will probably want to slap past me for writing that, but this is why We Embrace The Joy Of The Present.

Yes, I realize that this pretty much means that I am living on borrowed time.

What is your go-to concealer?

  1. Looking forward to getting my Birchbox! Fave Concealer? I’m sad to say that I don’t know the brand, but the stuff looks swirled, like it needs to blended in, itself. Uh, if that makes any sense whatsoever.

  2. I got the same items as you and I wasn’t too impressed this month. :/

  3. I don’t have a fave, but am on the look out for a good one because I seem to always have dark circles and a random blemish somewhere 😉
