This weekend, I brunched twice. One involving a potluck-style arrangement with an abundance of bacon and bloody marys. The other involving heavy workshopping with Lindsey and Galina and this fetching stack from Republic.
Hello, huevos rancheros.
This is the life, I think.
We observed the Border Battle with a fete at Auntie Kim’s and another at Chaz and Katie’s.
I can’t get over our spirit either. This is quite possibly the most organized we’ve been since the sacking of Cretin-Derham Hall in the AAAAA Prep Bowl in 2005. I kid you not. It was a lot of commitment.
Today, the spirit of productivity took hold and Marcus and I headed over to Ikea with the intention to Do Something about that second bedroom of ours.
We nearly ended up removing the upholstery from the back of one of my seats, but it’s always something isn’t it?
I live-tweeted the construction under the Beka-fashioned hashtag #prayersforikea, because her husband was endeavoring on a similar mission.
The before and after is for another day, but January 6 is officially the most productive day in the history of our relationship.
Lastly, because it occurs to me that there’s no truly “natural” way to work this in and it’s really time for y’all to know, I’m going to Israel by way of New York City for a Birthright trip on January 15. I’ll be in the city for a day or so (it’s basically a mini-vacay) and then I leave with my group for a tour of The Homeland. I’ll be home on January 28.
