#reverb12 is a prompt-a-day series for the month of December that is meant to give us all the chance to reflect on 2012 and the opportunity to write down our hopes and dreams for the coming year. Through December 31st Meredith, Sarah and I will be posting each day with a new prompt. Join us by writing, or join us by reading. No matter what you choose, come with us.
Typical day. Describe a typical day in your life. What do you think would surprise most people about your ordinary day? How do you cherish and appreciate the everyday?
Last year we wrote about Ordinary Time. While 2012 has been a whirlwind in so many ways, a lot of those things still hold true.
I know my life is not ordinary. I know what I consider to be quiet and routine looks like kinetic motion to the outside eye.
So what I appreciate is really really small.
The top pillow on my side of the bed.
The color of the sports bra I do yoga in and how that matches my yoga pants.
Reading 10 pages of a book.
Listening to music as I blow dry my hair.
Drinking a glass of water after a run.
Kissing Marcus’ shoulder before I go to sleep.
Yes, life is lived in the big moments, but it is lived fully in the little moments too.
