#reverb12 is a prompt-a-day series for the month of December that is meant to give us all the chance to reflect on 2012 and the opportunity to write down our hopes and dreams for the coming year. Through December 31st Meredith, Sarah and I will be posting each day with a new prompt. Join us by writing, or join us by reading. No matter what you choose, come with us.
Stuff and Things: What products have you discovered this year that you love? Tell us all about them, and why you love them. Become the celebrity spokesperson of whatever it is you like!
It is no secret that Sarah is my style-guru when it comes to beauty products. She winnows through the mass of things in the drugstore and then I, armed with knowledge, go forth with my CVS card.
This is the best kind of friendship to have.
What I have been loving this year?
Clockwise from left…
I needed a moisturizer and after one sample of this, I was sold on getting an entire container. I’ve never purchased Big Girl moisturizer before, so this was a big step.
Confession: I really love the smell of this. But I also like what it does for my hair. The only heat styling I do is with my hair dryer for all of five minutes, but I really like to keep my mane as healthy (and soft!) as is reasonably possible. This product is an ally.
Truth = I found this at Nordstrom’s Rack for $9. Even if I had only liked three of the colors in the palette, it would have been worth it. But I love them all. And it has been a really great excuse to try colors that I would never otherwise experiment with!
Apparently, if you want to put your hair in a ponytail, these are supposed to be really good for that. Allegedly they’re meant to prevent dents and breakage. My experience? They don’t hold my hair up. But I didn’t buy them to protect my hair. I bought the bow-shaped ones so that I could throw them over my regular hairbands when I run for a little touch of cute.
I’ve raved about this stuff before. Lis wants to wear every color at once. My mother-and sister-in-law are both 100% on board. If you’re not a lipstick person but you want a better color than what gloss can offer, THIS IS IT.
