This weekend was a tribute to girlfriends, carbs, delicious drinks and wearing every pair of boots that I own.
Which is to say that The Universe was totally in balance.
Let’s remember that one in case I ever need to dedicate a book, kay?
On Saturday, I got to do some serious workshopping with a girlfriend from college, Style Pistol at Rustica. We were so beyond overdue for a catch-up and the morning (literally) flew by.
While we were there, I enjoyed this lovely latte.
Truth: Before December 10, 2011, I had never had a latte with the artsy-foam business going on.
It was 11/10. Obviously.
This weekend , I also discovered that if you begin baking before 9:00 AM, you can scrape the leftover cookie dough from the bowl and create a sort of post-breakfast dessert situation.
It was a pretty bold (and delicious!) move. But if I had the chance to do it all over again, I’d probably just eat the dough for breakfast. Period.
School of Hard Knocks, right here.
And I rolled out my Crockpot for the first time EVER, despite the fact that I have owned it for over two years. I dusted it off a couple of weekends ago when I was rearranging our closet beneath the stairs. After relocating it to the shelving in our garage, I felt like we reached the point where we should really use it or purge it.
So we slow cooked the afternoon away.
I’ve always had this irrational fear that it would burn the house down if I left it, but it didn’t.
So that’s a good start, right?
Have you ever received a latte with foam art happening on top?
Do you own any appliances/kitchen gadgets that you have never used?
