Shocker of the century: I have been zero percent interested in my clothing lately. I’m not sure if it’s fall apathy creeping in (transitioning your wardrobe is a major pain in the ass) or the fact that October was essentially a blur.
When I wasn’t functionally paralyzed, I was traveling, celebrating holidays or running my tail off.
Small wonder I haven’t had the time to dedicate to getting dressed properly.
Fear not, I assigned certain friends to warn me if I began dressing in a matronly fashion or if I started letting myself go.
Because above all other things, that sort of behavior is unacceptable, plain and simple.
What did I manage to scrape together?
Simple. Functional. Nothing flashy.
We all knew I wasn’t exactly running around naked.
Once again, I employed the law of multiples to great success. After I took two of those tunics home from LOFT immediately before the High Holidays, I just knew that future Kat would love me for sourcing two more. I’m still standing by that decision.
When you find staples that fit into your style like that, you’re basically obligated to buy.
But now that we’ve gotten all of that practical nonsense out-of-the-way, I’m ready to commit the month of November to sourcing pretty things.
What am I craving? A pair of black boots with heels, dresses for work, dresses to layer over tights for going out, chunky sweaters.
Pretty. Cozy. Enduring.
Will some of it involve sequins? We can only cross our fingers and hope.
What are you dying to add to your wardrobe before Thanksgiving?
