Halloween Weekend!

As you can tell, 2/3 pumpkins are missing their stems. Translation: I did not pick these out. Where did they come from? With a pure heart, I can tell you that I truly have no clue.

I have three Halloween parties this weekend.

What I’ve come to realize is the best pre-run snack ever.

Tomorrow I’m running the Fearless 5K with Galina and a pal of hers around Como Lake.  To be totally honest, I was planning on flaking out because its cold outside.  It’s not that I love running in 95 degree weather, but after doing it for an entire summer, I definitely prefer being warm when I run versus literally having cold feet.

Linds, on the other hand is planning on rolling over to Restoring Sanity Rally on Saturday, because it’s in her ‘hood and all that.  I made her promise that she’d send pictures and stories to share with y’all.  I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I kind of hopes she ends up carrying a sign or something ridiculous like that.

Do you plan to dress up for Halloween?  What are you going to “be?”  Will you wear different costumes to different parties?

And, in the Spirit of Fitness (or Insanity, depending on your locale), did anyone else get sucked into a Halloween-themed race this year?

  1. Never would have thought of candy before a run, but, now that I think about it, that sounds pretty awesome.

As far as I know, no Halloween-themed runs around here . . . but, then again, there probably is, and I just missed it.

No Halloween costumes this year, sadly. No parties either. Blah. I need to find more costume party friends. My favorite costume was my pirate wench, but I think I’ve overdone it. I’d love to do a themed costume with the hubs: Joker and Harlequin . . . if only we could ;]

Have an awesome Halloween! And your costume sounds awesome!

  2. dude you have 5 good years of rocking the skanky anything costume!

halloween isn’t really celebrated in Oz. i think a few bars might have something, but that’s about it. no trick or treating (those poor kids.)

rock your race tomorrow, Kat! show ’em how it’s done! 🙂
