One class left

We have one more conversion class left. Which is pretty incredible, when I think about how far along I have come. Sophomore year I went to Milgrom Shabbat with BAbrams, two services in the winter with Brian and Ross and then I went on hiatus until all of the sudden I was at Yamim Noraim with Marcus’ family. Talk about diving in head-first.

I sat down with Rabbi Davis today to talk about how the year has gone and how much farther I have to go. Right now, it is looking as if I will go to the mikvah at some point in the middle – end of summer. I have absolutely no question in my mind as to whether or not I am supposed to be a Jew and how I, specifically, fit into the community.

That leaves me with writing my essays, working on my hebrew, and endeavoring to implement Shabbat rituals into my life. Which, is really not a great deal if you think about it.

The next step is figuring out the logistics of the actual conversion day including the mikvah and any sort of family celebration. We’ll let that one sit for a month.
