Marcus and I went to AZIA tonight for dinner. They have a sushi bar (Anenomi) attached to the restaurant and as we’re trying to slowly but surely patronize every major sushi restaurant in the Twin Cities, this was a must. Otherwise, I was gunning for Fuji-Ya tonight.
We were very impressed by their roll selection. They had some interesting specialty rolls – the AZIA, which was about $15, was twice the size of a normal sushi roll and was served atop some sort of curry sauce. My only complaint was that it was so big, I didn’t really get to savor all of the flavors. The exceptionally redeeming part was that their basic roll menu was VERY extensive and relatively cheap. It was between $6-$8 for a Crunchy California Roll, a Spicy Tuna, a Tempura Shrimp, Eel or any other number of simple things which was, exceptionally pleasing.
