I love Thai food. I adore it. Like wine, I would do many things for it and would be willing to go out of my way to obtain it.
Because we decided to cook on 10/26, I had to wait until last weekend to get said food. Which was a bit of a challenge because when I have a Thai craving, I HAVE A THAI CRAVING. This was offset by the fact that I was so busy last week, I wouldn’t have been able to dress myself, had people not come forward with Minnesota hoodies and the like.
Anyway, back to the matter at hand. Amazing Thailand.
The service was average. The incredible speed of the bus boy with the water pitcher was offset by the fact that they didn’t actually seem interested in taking our order and then the food took forever.
We started with soup, because it was one of “those nights” where we couldn’t agree on an appetizer. Marcus’ was some sort of egg-drop based thing and mine was most reminiscent of pho. And OH MY GOD. It was amazing. It was savory, it was warm, there were lots of different things in it (a good soup is like a good salad: more things=more fun).
For a main course, I got the Pad Thai, which was big enough to generously feed three people (it was fantastic for lunch the next day) and it had all sorts of fun things to mix in. Marcus got the Mussamun Curry which has potatoes and such in it. The presentation of that was really great because it was in a sort of wanton-bowl.
Will go there again. Hopefully, soon.
