I swear, since this half-marathon training began, it’s been totally uphill. First it was the insane blisters, then it was the ridiculous amount of rain and gloom, now I’m sick. After doing some reading on the interwebs (because this is how I roll with my training), if it’s above the shoulders, you can still run and if it’s below the shoulders (READ: my gnarly chest cold), you absolutely should not even try. Yoga? Also has not been happening – sick people need beauty sleep, you know?
It goes without saying that this has totally thrown my eating and skinnying plans off-track.
So here’s what actually happened.
- Sun: 40 min @4-1
- Mon: Walk 40 min
- Tues: Walk 40 min
- Wed: REST
- Thurs: 40 min @4-1
- Fri: REST
- Sat: 60 min @ 3-2
Not so catastrophic after all.
