love.life.

te·na·cious

-adjective
1. holding fast; characterized by keeping a firm hold

My name is Kat and I’m a rehabilitated blonde.

I believe in healthy living, but only as long as it involves the following five things: cheese, dark chocolate, wine, running and yoga.  These things are non-negotiable.  In order for us to really get along, you should know that I’m the kind of girl who only cooks with Real Butter.

I married the love of my life on June 12, 2011.  The way my husband and I met was extremely romantic.  The first time he was running around at a fraternity party with a bottle of cheap champagne.  For the record, he does not remember that encounter.  The second time we exchanged vague remarks in a friend’s kitchen over poorly mixed drinks.  The third time?  I held him hostage on a couch on the same fraternity’s porch over a six-pack of Bacardi Silver Razz.  We spent the next two hours talking about cruise ships.

Love, as it turns out, is a many-splendored thing.

I tend to occupy myself with noble pursuits like sipping wine and enjoying charcuterie plates, planning my next getaway because there’s always something on the horizon, shopping-it-out (sourcing frocks is basically a pastime all its own), trying to dig my way out from beneath an unholy pile of fashion magazines, and DIY manicures and pedicures.  On occasion, I’m rather enamored with the idea of carrying a latte around.  Usually I save that one for the weekends though.

Most concisely, I love.life.

-Kat
