While I was in Israel, my January Birchbox arrived.
Predictable theme aside, it was nice to come home to some presents that I didn’t buy.
Look.
Throw a hand up if you love mini-nail polishes as much as I do. I especially love them when they come in colors I’m not brave enough to buy in the store on my own.
We have: alessandro nail polish in Blue Lagoon, Harvey Prince Skinny Chic, Ojon damage reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum, theBalm cosmetics Put a Lid On It Eyelid Primer and Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream.
Between trekking through the desert, flying for long periods of time and coming back to a cold Minnesota winter, my skin is so dry that I was very excited to find some moisturizer samples in there. Oh, and the nose blowing. Let’s not forget that.
I mean, yes, I already have a number of different moisturizing options. But it kind of feels like it’s time to call in reinforcements. These are desperate times we are living in up here.

I hate to say, I just quit birch box. It was fun, but I had to revenue-neutralize an increase in our Netflix…and episodes of Gossip Girl to watch at 3:00 a.m. while feeding Reed just seemed a higher priority.
